InclusiveExcellence Fellow Agreement

Fellows who participate in the program agree to:

  • Participate in the Inclusive Excellence Academy, consisting of four 4-hour sessions prior to Fall term, from 10 am-12 noon and 1-3 pm PDT on September 8th, 9th, 13th, and 14th, and four 2-hour sessions during Fall term, held biweekly at a time convenient for all Fellows (likely will occur in repeated sessions to enable participation by all)
    • Preparation work for the pre-term Academy sessions will be emailed to you in early September
    • This may include 1-2 hours of work per week outside of collaborative time to prepare for Academy discussions

  • Develop and implement an Action Plan to create change within their sphere of influence with the support of the IE at OSU team
    • Provide and receive peer support to/from an assigned partner or partners in refining the Action Plan over Spring and Winter terms

  • Join the IE@OSU community, consisting of current and former IE Fellows and our colleagues across campus
    • Contribute to the IE@OSU Slack workspace and Canvas page
    • Attend two 2-hour Professional Learning Community gatherings over Winter and Spring terms to continue learning with the cohort
    • Attend one Faculty Food and Fun event each term; these events are open to all with the purpose of building a community around evidence-based and inclusive instructional practice
    • Present their Action plans at the Spring term Faculty Food and Fun event which serves as an IE@OSU Showcase where fellows will present their Action Plans and outcomes to the community

  • Distribute a “Sense of Belonging” survey in their classrooms so that the IE team can evaluate students’ affective outcomes of Fellows’ participation in IE@OSU

  • Contribute to the evaluation of the IE at OSU Program by completing two surveys, administered at the end of the Academy, and at the end of the academic year
    • Fellows may be asked to volunteer to complete additional surveys and/or interviews about their experience in IE

  • Advocate for equity and inclusion in their spheres of influence
