Communicating Chemistry with the PublicThe Department of Chemistry and the Center for Research on Lifelong STEM Learning welcome Cornell University Professor of Science Communication Bruce Lewenstein, who will share reflections on the new 2016 National Academies’ report entitled “Communicating Chemistry: A Framework for Sharing Science”. Dr. Lewenstein served as a member of the consensus committee charged with drafting the report.

The Center for Research on Lifelong STEM Learning and the Graduate School are pleased to host Boston University Professor of Physics Dr. Bennett Goldberg. Dr. Goldberg will discuss the model of the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) and CIRTL-created MOOCs; as well as several other models of change in STEM teaching and learning in higher education, including Learning Assistants and local learning communities.
