The Department of Chemistry and the Center for Research on Lifelong STEM Learning welcome Cornell University Professor of Science Communication Bruce Lewenstein, who will share reflections on the new 2016 National Academies’ report entitled “Communicating Chemistry: A Framework for Sharing Science”. Dr. Lewenstein served as a member of the consensus committee charged with drafting the report. He will provide a broad overview of findings and recommendations, and will discuss the challenges of converting academic knowledge about science communication and informal science education into action.
